Updates! Updates! Updates!

First off, if you end up here or have been here before…thank you! My website numbers this year have been the best yet and I’m going to hit my year end goal soon. Not that it means a ton to me but it validates the effort I put in, AI isn’t writing this stuff. I don’t let good days or bad days of traffic affect my outlook on it. I’m going to keep working whether the masses end up here or not because I know some people have gotten some value out of it. I know the algorithm for social media sucks with links but anyone who has liked, clicked, or shared any of those. I really appreciate that, it helps a lot.

I’ve had some time to really look at how I can make relevant information easier for people to find. That’s still a work in progress but it is definitely better than before. Categories are a big one, with every blog there are a list of categories at the top. It might say bass fishing, lake trout, Muskegon Lake, or ice fishing. If there is a category up there that interests you, click it and it will take you to more articles. I also see that people visit for a variety of reasons. What started out as mostly centered on tournament bass fishing has changed. If you are only interested in tournament bass fishing stories. I’ve got a new tab “tournament archive” that will take you right to only bass tournament stuff. I’ve also added links on the news page that will get you to all the news from a particular year.

I’m going to start adding some fishing reports. Anytime I make it out on the big lake or any of the multispecies stuff. They could be good or bad but it is an opportunity to make a report and not have to hide anything. So you aren’t going to see any reports on the bass bite likely unless I travel somewhere for fun fishing. It is fun to be able to talk about the exact baits and presentations used with the big water trolling stuff.

I’ve also been working on some stuff outside of the website and I hope to be able to share that in the coming months. However with that stuff you never count on it happening until it actually does, but I am hopeful. If you are an outdoor company/media outlet looking for some creative articles/blogs…please reach out.
