Clam New Products 2026
It’s hot and it might seem like ice fishing is far off in the future. But if your summer has been anything like mine, the time is going faster than I can comprehend. Clam Outdoors has unveiled all their new ice fishing products for the 26-27 winter. You can’t by them yet but it’s time to start planning for some upgrades. Here are a few that I am excited about (click the link to learn more directly from the Clam site).
Rattlin’ Drop Spoon - There are a couple of things that really stand out to me with this one. Obviously it’s got a rattle which can be really helpful when trying to draw fish in over long distances. It’s also made of Tungsten and comes in 1/8 ounce and ¼ ounces versions. That smaller tungsten bait that still is able to get down deep fast is going to be very useful in certain situations. I can see myself using these for perching out deep and maybe some finesse walleye stuff. I’m sure the crappie guys are going to lean heavily on this bait too. Also if you take a look at the colors, you will notice some different patterns than we have offered in the past.
TS Series Rods - I think this is a huge win, I’ve always said that it is difficult to comprehend ice fishing rods if you are new to the sport or even just trying to buy online. Matching these rods up with lure weights and presentations really simplifies that and gives people a clue. This is really helpful for anglers who are getting into a new species or a new style of fishing too.
Pack Sled - Everyone has seen someone haul out there gear on a “smitty sled” and also heard them rave about how much easier it makes pulling by hand in snow. These are usually homemade and just for hauling gear. I’ve never seen a commercially available one until now and with significant upgrades. This seems like an early ice beast for making long walks in snow. It also has an integrated seat and plenty of storage potential. It weighs in at 36 pounds, folds up flat, and can easily fit in a standard car.
Pack Trap 1 and 2 - The Pack Trap shelters are built with the same premise to the pack sled. Skis, no tub, and with reduced weight and mobility in mind. If you are always towing by hand these are going to be great options this winter. These shelters are insulated and also fold up more compactly for storage or making the trip to the ice.
Vertex Float Suit - The Vertex suit is sticking with the mobility theme and is going to be great for ice anglers who are always on the move. These combine motionfloat technology, Primaloft insulation, and 10k waterproof/breathable exterior. This suit sounds like it will be really comfortable in the boat too. You’ll also want to check out another new offering in the float suit category the Sub-Zero suit and decide which one is right for you.
